Judy Christy, Pediatric DNP, is a native of Perry County. She attended Perry County High. She worked as a nurse’s aide in 1977 at the old Perry County Hospital. She loved that so much she started nursing school and graduated in 1981 from Columbia State with an AD. She came back to Perry County in the early 80’s and actually moved the first patient into the new hospital. At that time, she oversaw the critical care until. Later, she moved away and continued her education. In about 1990, she graduated from a certificate nurse practitioner program sponsored by Centennial Medical Center. She then received a BSN from Belmont University. She moved to Dallas, Texas and continued her education at Baylor University and received an MSN. She returned home and completed a post master’s program in pediatrics from the University of Alabama. In 2010, she graduated from the University of Tennessee in Memphis with a Doctors Degree. Dr. Judy has spent many years taking care of children. She has a special love for them. She always knew that someday she would like to provide services in her community. Her dream has become a reality now as she has brought Pediatric Health Care to Perry Community Hospital.
